My name is David Pless, and I am happy to be joining Burns Middle School as interim principal this year. The Burns Middle family is dedicated to student success both inside and outside the classroom. This commitment helps to prepare students for a fulfilling future. We are proud of our students' academic, athletic, extracurricular, and fine arts achievements, and we hope you can add to that success this year.

Academic and social responsibilities become even greater here at Burns Middle School. However, students are still expected to attend school regularly, complete all classroom and homework assignments, and behave appropriately in a school setting.
The administrators, faculty, and staff are here to help you be successful during your middle school years. If students are successful in the classroom, they will find that their experience here at Burns Middle will be very fulfilling. We believe that teaching our students requires cooperation from students, school staff, parents, and the community. Just as we encourage students to become actively involved in their academic studies, we also encourage parents to become active participants in our school.
